Volunteer Ranger Service
Blackpool Council’s Ranger Service have developed a volunteer wing to assist the maintenance, promotion and appropriate use of Blackpool’s ecological sites such as Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve, Stanley Park, Kincraig Lake and Salisbury Woodland. There are more than fifteen trained and uniformed volunteers at present.
Anyone who wants to become involved may apply. Both individuals and groups of a variety of ages, lifestyles and professions can contribute. To find out more contact the Ranger Service, within the Parks and Green Environment Department at;

Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Volunteer Centre
The Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Volunteer Centre is located at the main entrance of Stanley Park. The centre offers a wide variety of volunteering oppoertunities to cater all interests, ages and abilities – including volunteers on Stanley Park and within Salisbury Woodland.
The Volunteer Centre hold drop in sessions Monday until Friday 10.00am – 1.00pm, where you can call in without an appointment for an informal one-to-one chat with an advisor. If you would preffer a confidential chat please telephone the centre to arrange an appointment.
