Here’s what we missed:
Meet Toad, Badger and Mole when they bring to life Wind in the Willows, the classic children’s story of madcap adventure, in an open air performance in Blackpool’s Stanley Park, writes Elizabeth Gomm.
In the bandstand, overlooking the lake, a cast of three actors playing the main characters, plus other multiple side roles, will work their own special magic on Kenneth Grahame’s wonderful waterside story.
For children and adults alike, the performance, is staged by Plumstead-based Quantum Theatre, a company specialising in outdoor performances.
Their production includes lots of action, with a generous helping of slapstick, to keep all the family entertained.
Quantum recently opened Wind in the Willows, adapted by Michael Whitmore, at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich,
It is being brought to Stanley Park by Blackpool Council and the Friends of Stanley Park.
Guests are advised to take along a chair or cushion and picnics are welcome.
It promises to be a lovely afternoon of family fun.
